Please say a prayer for my friends in Dothan!
Michael isn't messing around!
Panama City is getting hammered and Dothan is getting right now 100MPH winds!
I love these people and I'm scared for them!!
This is a category 4 as it hits landfall! Katrina went from a 3 to a 5 after hitting landfall.

I'll be heading back down to PC tomorrow morning to check on my dad. Haven't been able to get a hold of him since noon.

You have my prayers, Chief.
PCB got hammered. Mexico Beach is destroyed, I've heard.

I'm in the Ft Walton Beach/Destin area for all intents and purposes. We were spared the worst of it, being to the west of the counter-clockwise storm pattern.
Panama City got re-formed yesterday. The worst I went through here was Opal in '95, we took the worst of that one. Crazy damage. And Opal dropped into the "3" category right before landfall. Michael was 1 mph away from cat 5 at landfall.

Panama City Beach on Front Beach Road is one of my favorite pieces of property in this country. On a beautiful day PCB is stunning with the waves coming off the Gulf! I'm so saddened by this! The good thing is, my friends seem to be okay!

I'm glad your friends are okay. That area certainly suffered a lot of damage.

Glad to hear your friends are okay, I-Mark, and you as well, Griff. It does sound like Mexico Beach and PCB got hit hard. Chief, let us know when you know something on your dad. We just got a lot of rain up in NW GA, but southern and Central GA got hit pretty hard too. It's going to take awhile to restore power and clean up in GA and FL. Lots of flooding potential in the Carolinas and Virginia as well, not something they needed.

Finally heard from my Dad last night. Looked at the NOAA satellite pics of the house and neighborhood, sad. Dad lost both sheds, back porch awning, property fencing, and the Florida room has a hefty pine tree resting on it.
He has no plan, doesn't know who the insurance company is, and wants to stay put in Tampa until December.
I plan to get down there after my trips to Ft Benning and Ft Knox, though I think I'll cut one of those trips out.

Glad he's okay. Sorry for all the damage. Does he family/friends in Tampa to help him through the next couple of months?
