50 games over .500

Red Sox have looked incredible. If Sale is healthy and Price learns to pitch in the post season.. look out. JD Martinez has been an absolute steal.. I remember people calling talk radio screaming that they got him when they could have had Stanton.. :o

They are getting very close to being on pace for 116 wins. They are playing at unbelievable level right now. If they keep that up, they are going to be hard to beat unless Houston's pitching staff goes back to pitching over their heads like they did to start the year and their position players come back strong from injury. It is curious how light the market was for JD Martinez. He's not a great defender, but he had put up consistently strong (and progressively better) offensive numbers for 4 straight seasons. Stanton is very hot and cold.

Well.. its all about who's hot come playoff time. They'll need David Price to grow a pair. I'm also hoping they can pick up some relief help.. they've been a bit shaky there. The AL playoffs are shaping up to be pretty epic this year.

Yes, it should be quite the postseason. Of course, the Astros need to get healthy or they might not even make the playoffs. Probably not likely that they'd slip behind both the A's and the M's, but they have certainly coughed up all of their cushion lately.

The M's have been sideways for some time so not sure if they can right the ship and make it a race the rest of the way. In the mean time, the Rockies are as hot of a team as there is. And St. Louis has taken off as well. Of course the NL teams don't impact Boston or Houston until the WS, however the A's are playing well and in a series could cause problems for either Houston or Boston. Boston is playing great and should win the series barring injuries, however let's see how they handle the pressure once the playoffs start. With this heady record comes some heady expectations.

Yankees need to get healthy and give them a challenge in the playoffs.
