Gerrit Cole is expected to be a Yankee, or at least, somewhere else, before Christmas Day. The hot rumors are that when that gets done, the focus is on Andrew McCutchen and Josh Harrison next.

If they start adding Cy Young caliber arms to the team.. then it'll be much more concerning.

He has pretty average numbers pitching in the NL.. which doesn't play too well for him moving to the AL. His wins may improve if he pitches for the Yankees, but you can expect his other numbers to take a hit.

Cole had no interest in pitching for the Pirates after they low-balled him in arbitration. Magically, he can pitch now.

Then again, Houston turned Charlie Morton into a good pitcher...
