Computer polls in a year with very few cross over games?

Postby Xenon » September 27th, 2020, 9:22 am

I'm interested in how the computer polls will handle a year with very few, if any cross over data points between conferences.

PAC-12 will have very few games, and no cross over data points.... they are an completely unconnected pod with limited data points.
BigTen will have a decent number of games, but again no cross over data points.

ACC, American, BigXII, SBC will have some cross over data point, but not as many as most year.

I know that some polls (I think Sagarin, and maybe Massey) say after 3 week or 6 weeks that usually they have enough cross overs to make the full data set more or less connected ... that won't happen this year.

So, what do you think they will do?
