ND strength of schedule

Postby irishmark » May 29th, 2018, 10:35 pm

Notre Dame’s schedule strength, IMO from toughest to easiest.

1. at USC (NEVER a game that comes easy plus 2nd week in a row on road)
2. Michigan (opening game jitters and very good defense vs. Wimbush & this year's OL)
3. FSU (talent and speed)
4. Stanford (Stanford has won 7 out of the last 9)
5. at Virginia Tech (crowd will be rabid for ND's first visit plus our 6th week in a row playing and the first week after the Stanford game)
6. Navy (always hard to play and only one week to prepare)
7. at Northwestern (two weeks in a row on the road and vs. a good coach)
8. Pittsburgh (always a physical game but we have 2 weeks to prep)
9. at Wake Forest (gave ND a tough time last season)
10. Vanderbilt (should outman them)
11. Syracuse (Yankee Stadium - trap game between FSU and USC and on the road)
12. Ball State (should dominate)
Motivation is simple! You eliminate those that are not motivated!

You should have he @VT ahead of home games against FSU and Stanford. VT plays well at home and if it chokes it is usually against a team like ECU.

Agreed. I think the other road games below that should also move ahead of home games. Those two road games are almost certainly more challenging than home games against Navy and Pitt.

VT game might have gotten a little easier depending on the outcome.

Their cornerbacks are questionable also.

Again, can’t put them ahead of FSU and Stanford
