I have been offered and have accepted the position of operations manager for Reising radio Partners in Columbus Indiana.

Can't announce on social media until Wednesday but will announce it here.

I'll be 30 minutes from my son at Indiana university.

We lived in Columbus for about 3 years from 1990 to 1993. It's a nice town.

I took a very different approach than the last few opportunities that came my way.

Then I had family to worry about. Now it's just me. I gave myself a self assessment and took the time to figure out why I was successful in Lafayette and not in other places. There I spent more time mentoring and I didn't in the other places. The other places I was more worried about getting a paycheck instead of what made me succeed.

So about 4 months ago I decided to search again with the idea being I would only take a job where I can mentor other people and help them in their careers. And of course manage great radio.

Columbus had that opportunity so I took it. Besides its 45 minutes from my son at IU Bloomington.

It's a nice town, the home of the diesel engine plant Cummins with a thriving economy.

A solid broadcast company billing millions a year. They have me 10k more than I expected and I never had to negotiate.

I'm excited to get there.

You cant argue with that kind of package.

Have inlaws in Bloomington, and further south. Beautiful part of the country. Love to visit there.
