The Martian

Postby Eric » October 5th, 2015, 12:36 pm

I went to see The Martian this weekend, apparently along with millions of others. Great movie, maybe the best I've seen this year. Surprisingly upbeat, given the premise. Damon is excellent, and he has a great supporting cast. The cinematography is spectacular and the movie flows at a great pace even though most of the time you're just looking at one person in each scene. Definitely a movie the whole family could see and enjoy (well, maybe not young kids as this is not an action movie, although it does have its tense moments). Even if your significant other has a problem with "sci-fi" or "space" movies, drag him/her to see it. You won't regret it.
Sometimes I think the surest sign that intelligent life exists elsewhere in the universe is that none of it has tried to contact us.
