You still watch the NBA all star game? I don't think I've watched one in 15-20 years.

I haven't watched one in at least 25 years.

When I was younger and we only had 3 channels on TV, I used to like to watch the MLB All Star game to see the American League players that we didn't get to see in a National League town. But with all the coverage nowadays, that game has become boring, too.

I hate the thought that I am closer in age to you than I care to admit (

I hate the thought that I am closer in age to you than I care to admit () but I can completely relate. I grew up in NE Colorado and we had the Denver Bears, a AAA team. So I had no one to root for and the games were on NBC on Saturday. One game. Period. I loved the all star game. But back then, the Babe and Lou and that era was about 45 years removed from their glory years. Now, the stars of when I was young, guys like Bench, Rose, Schmidt, Jackson, .... are almost 45 years removed from their glory years. Eeee gads.
Well, the alternative to getting older isn't a great one, either.

I've never spoken to someone from the afterlife to confirm this, so for now, it's just a theory.

I stand corrected.
