Thibs fired despite 65% winning percentage

Postby irish 78 » May 29th, 2015, 12:24 pm

I think the team tuned him out at the end of the playoffs, but the way he was treated by the organization was shameful. He won 65% of his games despite having Rose for only 40% of those games.

Exactly

It's getting to the point in sports if you don't win championships. YOU'RE FIRED

I keep looking at Golden State who was winning with Jackson as coach and had turned it around

51-31 2013-2014
47-35 2012-2013

In 2011, the Golden State Warriors hired Jackson as head coach. He coached the team for three seasons, but was fired in 2014 despite leading the Warriors to consecutive playoff appearances for the first time in over 20 years

I'm sorry Kerr is getting too much credit for winning with what Mark Jackson had already built.

GS fired coach who took them to back to back playoffs for the 1st time in 20 years.

The expectations these days for coaches is plain stupid.

Thibs was fired because he didn't work well with others.

He and Forman didn't get along and he didn't get along with Paxson either.

And there are 9,000,000 reasons I am not feeling sorry for him

I notice no teams are running to hire him.
