Hey, at least the Irish made a game out of it at St John's. Don't know what happened at GTown becauseI wasn't there!
Pretty bad performance, only made up a couple of hours later by the ladies. Watched that one late last night and it looks like Diggins and others have returned to form. Very impressive win on UConn's home court. |

That's a huge win for the ladies.
But it will be meaningless if the Huskies win in the BE or NCAA Tournament.
Here's hoping the men can win Friday at home vs Providence. They're looking like the December team. |

I watched both games. Hated the first one. Loved the second one.

eric;
Never doubt my Hoyas; they have 'nuff talent to challenge my Spartans -- hopefully, in the Final Four, eh?

Georgetown getting it together at the right time. A team to watch come tourney time. |
So when the SEC dominates, it's because the SEC is dominant. But when the SEC gets dominated, it's because it wasn't motivated to play. Is that it? Dan Wetzel Yahoo.com |

| Georgetown looks really good. Even with the Big East being down this year, there appear to be 2 outstanding teams. |

Syracuse has been grabbing all the BE headlines, but the Hoyas have been rock steady through most of the season, and could be one of those teams that no #1 seed will want to face on the way to the Final Four. I wouldn't be surprised if Syracuse wasn't the last team standing at the end of the BE Tourney.
If ND beats Providence, they are a lock for the NCAA's no matter what happens in the BE Tournament, but it will be interesting to see how far the Irish get. With all cylinders firing and a bit of luck in scheduling, the Irish could make it to the Sweet 16, which would be amazing considering where they were in December. Can't see that happening though, despite a surprisingly good season. |

Big win against Providence last night.
ND gets the very very important double bye in next week's Big East Tournament. That's huge.
Great to see A.D get into the "Ring of Honor" finally. Adrian Dantley is the best player I ever saw at Notre Dame. I never saw Carr.
With no disrespect toward Harangody, Dantley should've gone in first.
As Coach said last night, he was one of those special players.

This brings up a question for me. Why aren't Digger Phelps and Muffet McGraw in the ND Ring of Honor? |

Good question. You should write in and start pushing for it. Muffet is the only BB coach in ND history to win a national championship, but she will probably be honored after she leaves. Digger deserves attention as well and could get the honor soon, but the way Brey is going, he should also be a candidate when his tenure is over. |

Excellent question! They both should be there.
BTW, I did see Carr. He was great.

What is it about ND's women facing UConn in the Big East Tourney? I have to say that even before the tourney, I liked the ladies' chances more in the NCAA's than I did the BE tournament. I'd like to see the Irish go up against Baylor again. I think either UConn or ND would give the Bears (Bearettes?) a run for their money in the NCAA championship game, but if it's the Irish, that would at least mean that UConn had lost along the way, maybe to the Irish again. |
