Poll Question:
Ok, come Championship weekend in 2011, what will the BigXII be doing that weekend ....
Lots of talk about moving Texas and Oklahoma to that weekend, and other plans ....

| I think they shift OU-Texas and KU-Missouri at Arrowhead to that weekend. |

What Mike said..
|
Ron Prince: "I'll never make apologies for a win."
Bill Snyder: "It's about getting better. We didn't get better today, particularly on offense. That's why I'm upset. Am I proud of the fact that we won? Yes. But I don't want us to feel good about playing poorly."

OU-Texas is something I have heard ... but what happens to the Texas State Fair time slot? Is there any contracts that would have to paid off to not hold the OU-UT game at the Texas State Fair? Might the Texas Legislature get involved there somehow, since it would really cut into the profits of the Texas State Fair I would think .... And are the moving that to JerryWorld? Is OU going to OK with the Red River Rivalry always being at The Jerry Dome?
NOW, the KU-MU move to Arrowhead is a great idea I hadn't heard before ... that would work well I think ... |

| I don't think you'll see them move TX-OU - too much tradition with the State Fair. Maybe move TX-TAMU away from Thanksgiving (too much competition with the pros) and move bedlam (OU- OK State) to that weekend. |

OU-UT evidently is contractually tied to the Texas State Fair through 2015, so that one isn't moving anytime soon.....
If you move traditionally rivalry games like Texas-TA&M and OU-OSU that makes sense ... do you move them all?
And which are the Bigger Rivalries ... for example to move KU-MU or KU-KSU, and who is ISU rivalry game at the end of the year?
I think it will be the Rivalry games that get moved, at least some of them ... The PAC10 plan ... |

| ISU really had no big rivalry games within the Big X(II) conference that I can recall. |

They have played the game there the last few seasons. |

ISU plays KSU in the last game of the year by default (with KU-MU and Nebraska-Colorado playing each other). I would think that long-term moving Texas-Oklahoma to championship weekend would be the best exposure for the conference and would often serve as a de facto championship game. If contracts keep them from doing that in the short-term, then I think they move Bedlam and KU-MU to that weekend and maybe Texas-Texas Tech. I think Texas-A&M has too much tradition on Thanksgiving to move, but maybe I'm wrong on that point. |

| TX-TAMU was played on Thanksgiving day up until the Big XII was formed. It was played the Friday after Thanksgiving until just the past two years. It has always been played near Thanksgiving day. |

DLF,
I think SOMETHING is going to have to change ... Mack Brown's quote seems to indicate that as well ... but it's interesting to see that no one is willing to have it be THEIR game and THEIR traditions that change.
So, it seems like all the FANS want it to be option 1, move nothing and change nothing, so we'll see what happens ...
